This is the 10th batch of Casg Annamh from Speyside's Aberlour distillery. The name means "rare cask" in Gaelic and this flavourful expression spent its time maturing in a combo of American oak and sherry casks, offering up rich layers of aromatic spice, fruit cake, and dark chocolate.
Tasting Note
Nose Rich, dark notes of chocolate coffee beans, dates, anise, and bold, sherried oak.
Palate Fruit cake, silky dark chocolate, cloves, dark cherries, and vanilla fudge.
Finish Sultanas and honeyed flapjack.
