Johnnie Walker Blue Label / Year of the Dragon 2024
Each year we get a lovely new Johnnie Walker Blue Label expression to mark Chinese New Year and that year's zodiac. Did you know that 2024 is the Year of the Dragon? Johnnie Walker certainly did, hence this beautiful new bottle, featuring art from the world-renowned James Jean, a contemporary artist who has collaborated with the Scotch whisky brand for his Wood Dragon illustrations.
Tasting Note
Nose Fragrant with good body. Notes of oak, crisp spice, dried fruit, pastries. Berry fruits, aniseed, hints of cedar, a touch of spice and citrus.
Palate Supple and balanced. Good toffee and hints of very wistful smoke. Chocolate, hints of grass, and a good hit of malt.
Finish Floral, oaky, good length, urged on by a plume of very well-kept, highland style smoke. Dried fruit, spice, honey.
